Groundwork Solent - Gosport Office
Public Transport - If travelling by train alight at Portsmouth Harbour, turn left as you leave the station and head down the walk way to the Gosport Ferry. You will see a ticket machine on your left where you can buy a ticket (currently £2.30) this will cover your return journey so do not discard the ticket. Ferry crossing is approximately 5 mins and the ferry runs every 15 mins off peak and every 5 mins during peak hours. On leaving the ferry head up the covered walk way, directly in front of you, you will see a pedestrian crossing this will give you access to the High Street. Continue straight ahead, we are about 20 minute walk. Once you have passed Morrison’s supermarket on your right you will head into Stoke Road. We are situated about ¾ quarters of the way down on the left hand side and set back from the road. Directly in front of us you will see a red post box.
If travelling by car you there is a small car park situated to next to the office, entry to this can only be gained from the rear via Jamaica Place and parking is limited to 3 hours..
Groundwork Solent - Southampton Office
Public Transport - Exit Southampton Central Station on platform 4, and turn left into Western Esplanade towards the clock tower on the Civic Centre. Go past the Civic Centre and at the traffic lights, by the park, turn right into Above Bar Street which becomes the High Street.
Keep walking for about a third of a mile past West Quay Shopping centre and the Bargate. On the left hand side there is an old ruined Church on the corner of Bernard Street, turn left into Bernard Street and go past the Department of Social Security building and cross a small road (Back of the Walls). Wheatsheaf House is the first building, opposite Redbridge Produce and Flowers.
A free bus also operates from the platform 4 exit of central station every 15 minutes. This stops outside the ruined church on the corner of Bernard Street and the High Street.
